The lightest, fastest stopping, quickest lapping Ducati in history and the successor to the 999 Superbike has arrived. The 1098 family of Superbikes is the result of extensive on-track testing, research, trial, error and tweaking. Each system, detail and component was studied on the basis of performance... if it didn't make the 1098 lighter or faster, it was thrown out the window. And while the styling has been toned down from the 999, the 1098's shape is aerodynamic and naturally embraces its riding position. Not to mention, the new 1098 Superbike offers the world's highest torque to weight ratio, making 160 horsepower and weighing in at 381 pounds.
